The specific scope, schedule, and pricing of services will be discussed and agreed upon during your initial consultation and documented in any service agreement provided at the time of booking.

User Responsibilities

As a client of Global Good Dog, you agree to the following responsibilities:

  • Accurate information: You will provide truthful and complete information about yourself, your dog, your dog's health history, any known behavioral issues, and any prior bite incidents. Failure to disclose relevant information, particularly regarding aggression history, may result in termination of services and may create safety risks for our trainers and other clients.
  • Following trainer instructions: You will follow the training protocols, exercises, and safety guidelines provided by your assigned trainer. Dog training requires consistent practice between sessions. Results depend significantly on your commitment to completing homework assignments and applying techniques as instructed.
  • Supervising your dog: You are responsible for maintaining physical control of your dog at all times during training sessions, unless a trainer has explicitly taken temporary control. You must use appropriate leashes, harnesses, or containment equipment as directed by your trainer.
  • Vaccination and health requirements: Your dog must be current on all vaccinations required by the State of Texas for participation in training sessions, particularly rabies vaccination. You must inform us immediately if your dog is ill, injured, or has been exposed to a contagious disease.
  • Legal compliance: You must comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dog ownership, including leash laws, licensing requirements, and dangerous dog regulations.

Booking and Cancellation Policy

The following policies apply to all training sessions, consultations, and group classes booked with Global Good Dog:

  • Booking confirmation: All sessions must be booked in advance through our scheduling system, by phone, or by email. A session is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from us via email or text message.
  • 24-hour cancellation policy: You may cancel or reschedule any individual session with at least 24 hours advance notice at no charge. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session time will be charged the full session fee.
  • Missed appointments: If you fail to attend a scheduled session without providing any notice ("no-show"), you will be charged the full session fee. Two consecutive no-shows may result in termination of your training program without refund of remaining prepaid sessions.
  • Trainer cancellations: If Global Good Dog must cancel a session due to trainer illness, emergency, or inclement weather, we will reschedule at no additional cost and at a time convenient for you.
  • Package expiration: Prepaid training packages must be used within six months of the purchase date unless otherwise specified in your service agreement. Unused sessions in expired packages are non-refundable, though we may grant extensions on a case-by-case basis for documented extenuating circumstances.

Payment Terms

Payment for individual sessions is due at the time of booking or at the time of service, as specified during scheduling. Prepaid training packages require full payment at the time of purchase. We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and electronic bank transfers. All prices are listed in United States dollars. Prices are subject to change, but any changes will not affect sessions or packages already purchased. Refund requests for prepaid packages will be considered on a case-by-case basis. If a refund is approved for unused sessions, a prorated amount will be calculated based on the individual session rate rather than the discounted package rate. A $25 processing fee applies to all approved refunds.

Liability and Assumption of Risk

Dog training and behavior modification involve inherent risks. By engaging Global Good Dog's services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Inherent risks of dog training: Working with dogs, especially those with behavioral challenges such as aggression, fear, or reactivity, carries a risk of injury to people and animals. Risks include but are not limited to bites, scratches, bruises, falls, and other physical injuries. These risks exist regardless of the skill and precautions of the trainer.
  • Client responsibility for their dog: You are the legal owner or authorized custodian of your dog and are legally and financially responsible for your dog's behavior at all times, including during training sessions. If your dog injures a person, another animal, or damages property during a training session, you bear full responsibility and liability for all resulting damages, medical expenses, and legal claims.
  • No guarantee of results: While our trainers are certified professionals who use evidence-based methods, we cannot and do not guarantee specific training outcomes. Every dog is an individual, and results depend on numerous factors including the dog's temperament, history, health, age, breed tendencies, and the owner's consistency in following the training plan.
  • Unsupervised practice: Global Good Dog is not liable for injuries, property damage, or other incidents that occur while you are practicing training exercises outside of supervised sessions. You are responsible for exercising appropriate judgment and caution when implementing training techniques on your own.

By booking a session or enrolling in a program, you voluntarily assume all risks associated with dog training activities and release Global Good Dog, its trainers, employees, and agents from liability for injuries or damages arising from your participation, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part.

Virtual Training Sessions

For clients participating in virtual training sessions, the following additional terms apply:

  • Technology requirements: You are responsible for having a reliable internet connection, a device with a working camera and microphone, and access to the video conferencing platform we use (currently Zoom). Technical difficulties on your end that prevent a session from taking place are subject to our standard cancellation policy.
  • Recording policy: Virtual sessions may be recorded by Global Good Dog for quality assurance and training review purposes, with your consent obtained prior to recording. You may not record, screenshot, or otherwise capture any portion of a virtual session without the express written permission of your trainer. Any recordings we make are confidential and will not be shared publicly without your written consent.
  • Environment safety: You are responsible for ensuring that your physical environment is safe and appropriate for the training exercises being conducted during virtual sessions. This includes having adequate space, removing hazards, and securing other pets or children as needed.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Global Good Dog disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Global Good Dog LLC, its owners, officers, employees, trainers, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use our website, services, tools, or content, regardless of whether such damages are based on warranty, contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms or our services shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to Global Good Dog in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from or related to them or your use of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at [email protected]. We will make a good faith effort to resolve any dispute within 30 days of receiving your written notice. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, both parties agree to submit to binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, with the arbitration to be held in Austin, Texas. You agree that any arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action or class arbitration. Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from seeking injunctive or equitable relief in court for matters involving intellectual property rights or data security.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to our services at any time, with or without cause and with or without notice, including but not limited to situations where we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, provided false information, created a safety risk for our trainers or other clients, or engaged in abusive or threatening behavior toward our staff. You may terminate your engagement with Global Good Dog at any time by providing written notice. Termination does not relieve you of any obligation to pay for services already rendered. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination, including but not limited to Limitation of Liability, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution, will survive any termination of this agreement.
